Avon Valley Carp is run by 4 of us, with over 65 years of fish farming experience between us.
Mark has been running his own trout farms since 1971 and has a wealth of knowledge and experience in farming fish. He has owned Britford Trout Farm for over 30 years, and in recent years has created Avon Valley Carp alongside the existing trout farm.
Mark's son Jack has been farming fish all his life, and started Avon Valley Carp from scratch - developing a hatchery, building ponds and building the business. He has hand-selected all of the fish on our farm, and takes immense pride in our stunning fish.
Dan came to the farm from Sparsholt College with an honours degree in Sports Fisheries and Aquaculture. He has built a large online presence for the farm, and has really kick-started the marketing and sales side of the business. Dan and Jack both spend a lot of time in the ponds grading the carp, performing water quality tests and delivering fish across the country.
The newest addition to the farm, Dan came from Hadlow College with an extended diploma in Fishery Management, he has proved to be a great help in the day to day running of the farm.
